The Maintenance Department of the Imam Hussain Shrine announced the completion of the preparations for opening Elhujjeh Basement for Arafah and Eid (Greater Bairam) pilgrims.
Head of the Maintenance Department Kereem Elembari said, “The walls and floor have been covered with quality alabaster – and the suspension ceiling has been covered with pieces of mirror.”
Elembari added that the basement is 5 meters high, and its gross floor area is approximately 850m2.
He indicated that the Imam Hussain Shrine built four basements inside the shrine and it will connect them to form an approximate floor area of 4,000m2.
