Box of Lady Fatima displayed once a year in Turkey

A room for relics of the Ahlulbayt (Peace Be Upon Them) at Topkapi museum, in Turkey, is only opened once a year on the 15th of Ramadhan.

Ela’ Ahmed Dheya-eddeen, curator of Imam Hussain museum, said this room was opened a few days ago, and among the relics there was the box of Lady Fatima (Peace Be Upon Her).

He added that the management of Imam Hussain museum has been trying to obtain the box to transfer it and display it at Imam Hussain museum, noting that Imam Hussain museum has a replica of the original box.

He also said the box and other relics had been in Medina, and after the collapse of the Ottoman state, the relics were transferred to the Ottoman sultan at that time.

Dheya-eddeen indicated that on the box is written “Box of Lady Fatima Esquire (May God Be Pleased with Her).”
