Freeing up space for Arba'een pilgrims

The Engineering Department of the Imam Hussain Shrine has stated that an extra area of more than 3000 square meters has been freed up for the Arba’een pilgrims.

Hussain Ridha Mehdi – Department Director – said the area made available for the Arba’een pilgrims is 60% of Lady Zaineb Sanctuary project in which paths have been set for a better flow of pilgrims and Hussainian processions.

Mehdi added that approximately a 500-square-meter area has been set for a missing persons center, a 300-square-meter area for pilgrims’ luggage, areas for 3 medical groups and the media, in addition to a place inside the Imam Hussain Shrine, which will accommodate approximately 5,000 pilgrims.
