German professor: The Holy Quran is a document for all eras and Europeans’ knowledge of Islam is inaccurate

"The Holy Quran is a religious and literary document that benefits all the eras," said Thomas Bauer, a professor of Islamic studies at the University of Münster in Germany.

"The Europeans' knowledge of Islam is largely inaccurate," he continued.

Bauer said in an interview with a German newspaper that there is no understanding among Europeans of the establishment of the Islamic religion.

"The Holy Quran came down in an area inhabited by Christians and Jews exchanging ideas," he stated. "This is what we should pay attention to when we read the Quran."
